DMS Updates

The web enabled DMS (Document Management System) application developed by iSummation technologies for an engineering design company is slated to undergo some enhancements to further improve the application efficiency to handle large files and concurrent access.

The main enhancement is an extreme ZIP (XZIP) facility that will help in reducing the file size to a great extent and in turn reduce the file porting time. This feature will be active for remote locations only due its selective benefits only to staff that is not using the LAN to upload files.

Other changes include pre-population of user data in forms based on login information. This will help save resource time often wasted in entering information that is often repetitive. Also planned is a stronger access architecture of the application.
