Business Requirements
The solution that is currently being developed will enable the students to prepare for the examination through an elaborate testing system. The system has a lot of flexibility so that the student can work through the review exam with his or her own strategy. He can select the particular subject, even a specialized area within the subject where he wants to test his skills. The application will accordingly present the problems based on the selection. The student can select multiple subjects or areas at a time to take more comprehensive reviews of his ability.
Our Solution
Several features are added so that the students can avail the maximum benefits of such an application. After attempting a question he/she can mark it if he wants to attempt the same problem in a future test. There is also a hint provided with each question in case he wants some help with the problem. The student can pre-select the number of problems and the level of difficulty of the problems he faces.
In case the student has a question regarding the problem he is attempting, he has an option on posting it on the discussion board. The discussion board is a feature that is specially built in for the convenience of students and to do away with the inherent disadvantages on-line courses. The students can post their doubts and questions online on the discussion boards and the faculty can log-in through the admin to answer them.
Also built in are in-depth reporting tools that enable the student to review his/her performance by subject and by area. These reports are available real time and a summary report is generated when the test is completed. These reports are stored in the database so that the students can review them at any point in future.
