The search parameters in loose diamonds are fairly constant. This enables us to design an interactive search interface where the user can narrow down the records by selecting values of parameters using sliders. The records are can be filtered on the basis of Price range, Carat, Color, Clarity, Cut etc. Based on the value on the sliders, the records are updated instantaneously, thus doing away with the need of unnecessary data submits and screen refreshes.
The sliders are extremely intuitive for the user. The records fulfilling the search criterion are updated immediately. This gives the user an upper hand in quickly responding to his options.
A link to the traditional search interface option is also provided in case the user is not comfortable with the new search Feature.
All the records are displayed in a tabular format where all the columns are sort-able. The columns display information like Cut, Shape, Certificate, Clarity, Color etc. Any special offer currently on is also displayed. A mouse-over action allows the user to view an information brief of the diamond. This brief displays the estimated shipping date of the diamond. Thus he can decide whether he wants to click over to the details page or not.
A diamond compare option is also available in the same interface. The user can select any no. of diamonds that interest him and click the compare button to view all important information side by side.
This diamond search interface allows the user to quickly find diamonds without the hassles of drop-downs and other controls.
