The client is a thriving business firm based in Hawaii specializing in floral and fauna products. They offer the option of ordering floral products from remote locations. The client needed a web solution which would let his remote clients order products online. They wanted economical e-business solution with advanced functionality in order to sell their merchandize online.

Business Requirements

They wanted shopping cart functionality on his e-commerce web site. The site visitor must be able to add items to the shopping cart, register, pay using credit card and checkout. The client wanted to incorporate FedEx functionalities like "Available Services", "Address Verification" and "Package Tracking". They wanted to be able to select multiple destinations for selected orders so that user can ship the gifts to multiple shipping addresses. This had to be implemented using web services integration.

Solution

Proteasofhawaii.com is an online store where a customer can buy fabulous flower gifts. In order to make an online purchase he needs to register on the website. He can select flower gifts form the product list and submit the order.

iSummation provided advanced functionality to this shopping cart like FedEx and payment gateway integration. We implemented the FedEx shipping options [019] & FedEx address verifications [025] so that the site users can use the three main FedEx services. User can select the available shipping services which are provided by FedEx. Also Address Verification and Package Tracking are available on this e-commerce application. User can send the selected gifts to the multiple destinations and in database individual record is maintain for each order shipping address. Sometimes when some services from remote servers like FedEx or payment gateway goes down then we have provided backup form to the application. So customer can place their order in the single form and this form is mailed to the client of the application. In this way a customer is never lost.

On the Admin side the Interface has good functionality so that the client can add/update the web site easily. Sales reports and e-mail management is made available. Other features include password change, order management etc.
