Authentication
A security measure to identify users and control access privileges based on supplied information such as name and password. See also Encryption.
Content Search
Searching for documents containing a specified word or phrase.
Data type
In a database or application such as Excel, a data type provides context for the software to interpret alphanumeric data. For example, a date or a person s name may both be represented by the letters "May". Different types of data have different sorting rules, so data types help applications know which rule to apply. For example, "May" comes before "June" when sorted as months but "June" comes before "May" when sorted alphabetically.
