Job Name: User Interface Designer

The ideal User Interface Designer candidate is someone who possesses highly creative and innovative design talents and an unwavering attention to detail. He/she will play a significant role as a member of a highly-focused software team.

The following tasks are assigned to the User Interface designer and are critical to the success of the team:

• Design and develop cutting-edge User Interfaces for web-enabled applications (NOT Website DESIGN)
• Perform thorough UI unit testing and document results
• Develop first-draft user documentation describing the use and behavior of all UI components.
• Test, correct, and modify changes to UI components as required. Review product specifications and estimate time required to accomplish UI-related tasks.
• Work with other team members to design UI-to-system interfaces and other necessary access methods.
• Confer with manager and team members regarding usability and other UI-driven aspects of assigned projects.

Required Skills:

• A four year degree in Graphical Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years professional experience in web-enabled application development (not website design) including User Interface development using Macromedia Flash.
• 2+ years experience in a commercial software development environment.
• Experience using the following technologies: XML, XSLT, CSS, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, PhotoShop, and Macromedia Flash.
• Experience with any other technologies is a plus.
